Jakarta (Antara) -The Jaguar TCS Raceteam came to Jakarta E -Prix 2025 with a high determination to rise and to show their dominance in Formula E again, although they had to go through a series of serious tests this season, racing from racing incidents to harmful punishment.
Jaguar TCS Team Director Racing James Barclay said that Jaguar was still very competitive in terms of car performance. But happiness has not always chosen them this season.
“This season may look unfavorable in the rankings, but in reality we are very competitive. We have won two wins, one more than Porsche and three stages,” Barclay said on Jakarta on Saturday.
He added that the Jaguar car used by other teams also knew to win at Monaco via Sebastien Buemi (Racing Racing). This shows that their autopotential is very large.
However, a number of incidents and fines made it difficult for the team to secure important points. Barclay is an example of the four races of Mitch Evans that have not been completed due to damage to the general component or due to collisions.
Experience a similar fate by Nick Cassidy, who was hit in Tokyo to let the team undergo a position of 60 grid in the next round.
“It feels very tough. The incident in one race had actually influenced two series. But it was part of the race,” he said.

Jaguar is now aimed at improving performance during qualifications, which are considered the key, so that the racers avoid the risk of incidents at the start of the race.
“We have shown speed, but what is difficult is to do it consistently. At the moment the margin is very thin at the moment. If one element of strategy is incorrect, you can end the potential stage outside the top ten,” he added.
Barclay also revealed that the challenges of the hot and humid climate of Jakarta racer loss can make more liquids during the race.
“Tires must be in the right performance version, especially during qualifications. The Jakarta circuit is abrasive and not permanent, so there are many unexpected things. But racers like the layout, and we are happy to be back here,” he said.
At the moment Jaguar TCS Racer Racer Nick Cassidy is in seventh place in the rankings with 58 points. While Mitch Evans was arranged 18th with 25 points.
For the manufacturer category, Jaguar was in fourth place with 184 points, behind Nissan with 285 points, Porsche in second place with 259 points and Stellantis with 213 points.
Jaguar TCS Racing has a wonderful moment in Jakarta when placing his driver Evans in the first stage in the 2021/2022 season.
He also expressed his appreciation for the support of Indonesian fans who were considered extraordinary.
“We love the fans here. They are enthusiastic and appreciate our presence. The stage in Jakarta always feels special,” said Barclay.
