Jakarta (Antara) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) offers opportunities to call up the former religious minister Yaqut Cholil Qouumas when investigating alleged corruption cases with regard to the special Hajj quotum in 2024.
“Later, the needs of the process of dealing with this case. Of course, of course, all parties suspected of knowing about what the case construction will be questioned by the KPK,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Friday (6/20) Night.
In addition, Budi said that the KPK has opened the opportunity to call up the special committee (Pansus) of the Indonesian Parliament Hajj questionnaire to investigate the execution of the distribution and determination of extra Hajj quotum that was not in accordance with the law number 8 of 2019 with regard to the performance of the Hajj and Umrah.
“All parties will certainly be asked for information. Of course the parties suspected of knowing from the construction of this case,” he said.
Earlier, the KPK also confirmed that he had invited and called on a number of parties to be questioned in the investigation of the case.
In the meantime, the KPK revealed on 10 September 2024 that it was ready to investigate alleged satisfaction with regard to filling in the special pilgrimquot in the implementation of Hajj 2024.
The KPK stated that the move was important, so that in this case the Ministry of Religion could bring justice to the implementation of Hajj services without corruption.
On another occasion, the DPR RI Hajj questionnaire Special Committee claimed to find a number of irregularities that took place during the implementation of the pilgrimage in 2024.
The most important point of the special committee was emphasized about the division of the 50: 50 quota in the allocation of 20,000 extra quota supplied by Saudi Arabia.
At that time, the Ministry of Religion distributed an extra quota of 10,000 for regular Hajj and 10,000 for special Hajj.
