Putin welcomes Pabowo in the palace: happy to meet in Saint Petersburg



Strelana (Antara) – Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia – Indonesian relations will continue to grow and are mutually beneficial.

This was transmitted on Thursday (6/19) by Putin after a bilateral meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, where the two leaders accepted a statement of strategic partnerships.

“Our relationship continues to develop stable, based on long traditions in friendship and help each other,” said Putin the press after the meeting.

He added that Indonesia remains one of the most important partners of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region.

Putin also stated the willingness of Russia to expand cooperation with Indonesia in various areas with high technology, including space, digitization, smart city development and artificial intelligence technology.

He said that conversations with Pabowo also dealt with various important issues about the international agenda.

“When closing, I want to suppress the high appreciation for our cooperation today. Undoubtedly, this visit will further strengthen all Russian-Indonesian strategic partnerships in the interest of the nation of the two countries,” said the Russian president.
