Jakarta (Antara) – The Ministry of Health said from 19 June 2025, 8 cases of Hanta Hanta -Virustype Hemorrhagic fever with kidney syndrome (HFRS) were found in 4 provinces, and all were explained to being restored.

The death rate or the fatal number of case (CFR) is 5-15 percent, depending on the tension of the virus.
Aji also mentioned how to prevent the Hanta virus, namely to control the Rodensia population, avoiding contact with urine, stools, saliva and rodensia nests.
Then applying clean and healthy living behavior (PHBs), maintaining the cleanliness of the house, especially the space that is rarely used, such as attic and warehouse, and avoid touching Rodensia, both alive and death.
“The proper management of waste, placing mouse traps at home/in the workplace, using personal protective equipment (PPE) for risky employees such as farmers, construction workers, laboratory staff, veterinarians,” he said.
He said there was no specific treatment. The treatment is symptomatic and supportive, depending on the symptoms.
On that occasion he explained that the Hanta virus was explained an extraordinary event (KLB) if 2 or more cases of HFRS confirmation were found in one 2 weeks incubation period.
“The case in West Bandung did not meet the KLB criteria,” he added.
