JAKARTA (Antara) – The panel of judges of the Corruption Court to the central court of Jakarta sentenced 3 years in prison and a fine of RP500 million in 6 months in prison for the mother of Ronald Tannur, namely Meirizka Widjaja, because he has been proven to give something to the judge.
During the hearing of the judgment in Jakarta on Wednesday it was proven that Meirizka’s mother was stated that he committed corruption in the form of giving something alias bribery to the judge to influence the decision of his child who was the suspect of the murder case.
“It stated that the suspect Meirizka Widjaja had proved legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal corruption act of corruption in the form of giving something to the court with the intention of influencing the case of the case presented to him to be tested together as in the first alternative ranking.”

That is why Meirizka was found guilty of violating Article 6 paragraph (1) letter A Rumbling Article 18 of the right number 31 of 1999 with regard to the extermination of corruption crime as amended and in combination with law number 20 of 2001 Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Code of Criminal Law.
In the downing of his decision, the Panel of Judges supported that Meirizka’s law did not support the government program that continuously raised corruption to harm the good name of the judicial institution.

The public public prosecutor of the office of the attorney general is of the opinion that Meirizka has bribes to judges of the Surabaya District Court (PN), East Java, to condition the Ronald Tannur case.
In this case, Meirizka was accused of giving bribes to three judges at the Surabaya District Court as the mother of Ronald Tannur in the amount of RP4.67 billion to judge her child.
The general given cash includes RP1 billion and 308,000 Singapore dollars or equivalent to RP3.67 billion (exchange rate of RP11.900.00 per Singapore dollar).
The bribery was reportedly given by lawyer Ronald Tannur, Lisa Rachmat, who was also a suspect in this corruption case.
