Jakarta (Antara) -Chelsea coach, Enzo Marsca, said he was surprised by many empty seats in the stadium when his team won 2-0 about Los Angeles FC (Lafc).
The blues started their work in group F of the World Cup 2025 by looking at Lafc in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Tuesday (6/17).
However, the victory was of the opinion that something was missing because of the capacity of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium that could contain 70 thousand spectators who were only about 22 thousand people filled.
“A good match, the team performed well. I just felt a bit strange because of the atmosphere of the game. You know, the stadium is almost empty. Not full,” said Marsa as reported by Athletics On Tuesday.

Enzo said that he did not expect that this match would be empty from spectators, taking into account Chelsea against Lafc who was a team of the United States.
However, he estimated that the number of viewers would be much busier when Chelsea played their second game against Flamengo from Brazil in Philadelphia.
“What is certain is that the next game will be more exciting because we know that the supporters of the Brazilian team are always a lot. So we have to prepare for the next fight.”
The victory of Chelsea over Lafc temporarily made the blues at the top of the Group D rankings with three points, while Lafc Nihil Pon was in the position of the caregiver.
