The conflict in Iran-Israel must have an effect (to the state budget), but hopefully it is still in the established corridor
Jakarta (Antara) – Vice -chairman of the House of Representatives Committee XII Bambang Haryadi has assessed that the State Budget of 2025 (APBN) was still difficult to see the rise in world oil prices caused by conflicts between Iran and Israel.
“Now the state budget is still enough, hopefully it can still tolerate (an increase in world oil prices),” said Bambang Haryadi when he was contacted by Antara from Jakarta on Monday.
He explained that the price of crude oil in recent months was still below the price of the Indonesian crude oil or Indonesian raw price (ICP) in the APBN.
Quoted on the official website of the Ministry of Finance, are the basic assumptions of the macro -economic of 2025 for ICP 82 US dollars per barrel. In comparison with ICP May 2025, the average price of Indonesian crude oil at the level of 65.29 US dollars per barrel.
At present, the rise in world oil prices is in the range of 72-74 US dollars per barrel, lower than the assumption of ICP in the state budget of 2025 of 82 US dollars per barrel.
“The conflict in Iran-Israel must be influential (for the state budget), but hopefully it is still in the established corridor,” said the head of the XII committee responsible for the energy sector and mineral resources.
Nevertheless, he encouraged the government to work more aggressively on new energy and renewable energy projects to reduce the dependence on Indonesia of fossil energy. One of them can be maximized the campaign for electric cars.
According to Bambang, electric cars are a solution to reduce the burden of government spending to offer subsidies to the energy sector, in particular fuel oil.
Based on the details of the Staatbudget 2025, RP26.66 trillion for certain types of fuel (JBT), which consists of kerosene and diesel oil for certain consumers.
The subsidy budget does not include an energy connection worth RP190.89 trillion for 2025. Energy compensation has been paid by the government to business entities, in this case Pertamina and PLN, due to the lack of acceptance of business entities as a result of the government’s determination policy.
“We have to maximize new and renewable energy, increasingly campaigning for electric cars, because it can reduce dependence on fossil energy,” he said.
