If we do not tackle this problem, it is not impossible to cause national disintegration
Jakarta (Antara) – The central leaders of Muhammadiyah encouraged Prabowo Subianto to intervene to complete the polemics of four islands, namely Pulau Panjang, Lipan Island, Mangkir Kecil Island and Mangkir Besar Island, wise and honest for the integrity of the integrity.
“We hope that President Prabowo so that the problems of the four islands that have inflamed the performance of political dynamics can be solved as well as possible,” said PP Muhammadiyah Anwar Abbas in Jakarta on Monday.
Anwar Abbas said that the polemic of the four islands established by the Ministry of the Interior to enter the North -Sumatra region had led to a violation of the community and the government of Aceh.
According to him, historically and administratively, many parties believe, including the 10th and 12th vice president of Jusuf Kalla, is part of the AEH Singkil Regency.
“Because if we are not dealing with this problem, it is not impossible that it will cause the disintegration of the nation and we certainly do not want that to happen,” he said.

He recalled that the Indonesian people had undergone the dark period of armed conflict between the government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) for decades. The Helsinki agreement signed on 15 August 2005 became an important milestone in the realization of Vrede in Aceh.
The Helsinki agreement provides a strong basis for the special autonomy of Aceh. The agreement concerns the allocation of special autonomy and broader authority to the government of ACEH, the implementation of general elections in ACEH.
Then the provision of amnesty and reintegration of GAM members in the community, to the withdrawal of TNI/POLRI troops and the formation of the ACEH Security Task Force.
Anwar Abbas reminded that if the problem of determining this region was not handled properly, it was not impossible to disturb national harmony and stability.
“Because we consistently meet existing similarities, peace in Aceh can be realized well,” he said.
Anwar Abbas also called on all elements of the nation to maintain unity, and to prioritize dialogue and principles of justice when solving any difference.
