Jakarta (Antara) – Indonesian president Pabowo Subianto arrived on Sunday (6/15) night in Singapore, his arrival was welcomed by Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
While the explanation received, Pabowo and the limited group arrived at the air -based basis base around 9 p.m. PM Wong seems to be under the ladder of the plane to welcome Prabowo President.
The second meeting was warm. The two leaders of the country seemed to shake hands and talk to each other.
In addition to Prime Minister Wong, also presented the welcome president Pabowo, namely Singapore foreign minister Vivian Balakrishnan, ambassador of Singapore in Indonesia Kwok Fook Seng, Indonesian ambassador at Singapore Suryo Pratomo and Singapore Defense Colonel Supriyadi.
PM Wong then accompanied Prabowo to the official vehicle that was prepared. Pabowo had thank you PM Wong for the reception.
“Thank you, thank you very much,” said Prabowo.
After the hospitable, Pabowo left the Air Base of Paya Lebar to continue the journey to the hotel where the head of state remained during the visit.
On this trip accompanied by the president, Foreign Minister Sugiono and cabinet secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
President Pabowo is planned to hold a number of important agendas on Monday (6/16). The head of state will be officially welcomed in a state ceremony by Singapore President, thharman Shanmugaratnam, which was held in the Singapore Parliament House.
The state ceremony at the same time marks close diplomatic relations between the two countries. Moreover, President Pabowo will also perform a courtesy call with President Thharman in a series of visits.
“Not only a meeting with the president of Singapore, it is planned that President Pabowo also attended a bilateral leadership meeting with the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lawrence Wong,” said deputy for protocol, press and media secretariat of President Yusuf Permana.
This visit is not only a symbol of the close relationships between Indonesia and Singapore, but also opens new partnership in the field of economy, investments, defense and digital transformation between two main partner countries in the Southeast Asian region.
