Jakarta (Antara) – Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Gennaro had agreed to become a new coach from the Italian national team that Luciano Spalletti replaces.
“Gennaro Gattuso has agreed to become the head coach of the new Italian national team. Gattuso will soon replace Luciano Spalletti, the agreement will be reached,” Romano wrote in his official X account on Sunday.
This will be a new career trip for Gattuso that previously trained the club alone. The last time the AC Milan legend was trained last season in the Croatian competition with HNK Hajduk -split.

There he won 20 victories, 14 series and nine defeats of 43 games in all the competitions he led. During a season there, the 47 -year -old coach did not succeed in bringing Hajduk champions after two points to Drift van Rijeka in Luga.
In the meantime, Spalletti was decided to be replaced by the Italian football federation after the man who led Napoli to win the 2022/2023 season, not to make Azzurri appear properly.
In the last Old League, Italy was only able to win one victory, where this victory was achieved in the Spalletti Farewell match against Moldova in the World Cup qualifications of 2026 on Tuesday.
In the meantime, the Italian team manager Gigi Buffon from other sources confirmed that they would name Gattuso as a new coach. He told Rai Sport that “we made the best decision”.

Before the coach’s choice fell to Gattuso, Italy made his first choice at Claudio Ranieri. The 73 -year -old coach, however, refused because he had announced his resignation from the world of coaching and had chosen to commit himself to a special adviser in Rome.
