Granada hosts since Thursday the ninth edition of talking about Twitter, the largest event in the world dedicated to this social network. The congress organized by the newspaper ‘Ideal’ will pass on two international experts in data interaction and analysis, and some of the most influential profiles on the Blue Bird platform, as the former president of the community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manueloel Albares.

The event is consolidated as a “meeting point for reflection, study and entertainment” around the social network, as noted by the director of ‘iDeal’, Eduardo Peralta. More than 3,000 people followed the live on Twitter and received #Tatgranada21 to be a trend in Spain in the morning.

Throughout the history, talking about Twitter has collected personalities, such as the Nobel Prize for Economy Joseph Stiglitz, the Twitter CEO until 2015, Dick Costolo, or the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. “Ideal is a means of communication that exceeds the boundaries of Granada thanks to the web edition, but at the same time we are attached to the earth, and this event that has Vocento’s support is a wonderful opportunity to place Granada in the showcase,” Peralta said.

One of the main courses of the first day of #Tatgraranada21 was the intervention of the former president of the community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre. In an interview with the deputy director of ‘iDeal’, Quico Chirino defended the naturalness in the networks and the expression without taking into account the politically correct: “I don’t speak like, I speak to say what I think.” He said that he was against the closures of defeats, for example former US President Donald Trump, among others, Vox: “It is a political party that I don’t agree, but there are many more things that unite me than those that divorce me.”

Against wrong information

The director of social networks of the European Commission, Krisztina Stump, was in charge of opening #Tatgranada21, dedicated to the progressive return to normal. Before half of the thousand attendees in the Science Park of Granada, Stump Twitter users warned of incorrect information campaigns for lucrative purposes and their relationship with the Pandemie, and proposed measures to fight this phenomenon.

The misleading content on social networks wins more and more weight. The lie, said the Communication Communication expert, has become a way to obtain income. Since 2018, the European Commission has been working against ‘fake news’ and, according to the Pandemie, promote a framework of aids and regulation against the spread of false information.

If neither experts neither scientific communities nor traditional media have faith in the establishment of the truth, it can be very dangerous, “he said.

The director of America positively defended the role of social networks in the defense of human rights in Human Rights Watch and referred to freedom of expression: “Sometimes open governments also limit freedom of expression for a broad legislation.”
