Jakarta (Antara) -The national team of U19 Women has reached the AFF U19 AFF Cup semi -finals, after a 4-0 win over Malaysia in the last group B match at the Phu Tho Stadium, Ho Chi Minh, Friday.
Because of these extra three points, Indonesia finished in second place in the last rankings with a collection of four points. Indonesia, which had inhabited the position of one point for the caretaker from Malaysia who had to be satisfied in third place.
Indonesia opened the management in the 14th minute thanks to the goal of Nasywa Salsabila. In the 30th minute it was Sydney Hopper’s turn to break into the Malaysian goal of doubling the lead of Indonesia.
Score 2-0 lasted to rest.
In the second half, Jeslyn Kayla Azkah raised the lead from Indonesia to 3-0 thanks to his goal in the 60th minute. Allya Putri then closed the Garuda Pertiwi Young Party with her goal in the 63rd minute.
This performance repeated the performance of the U19 Women’s National Team in 2023. At that time, Indonesia also reached the semi-final before the Thailand won 7-1.
In the semi -final, the Akira Higashiyama team will be confronted with the host Vietnam. Vietnam can clearly not be underestimated because they have not been admitted so far and collect 16 goals in the group stage.
In the meantime, Indonesia came to the semi -final with a record of one win, one draw and one defeat. In the inaugural match, Garuda Pertiwi was hit by Thailand 6-1 and then held to a 1-1 draw by Cambodia, before he finally rose in the last match against Malaysia.
