Jakarta (Antara) – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim strongly condemned the Israeli military attack in Iran, including targeted attacks that Iranian military officials and civilians killed.
“I cursed very hard, Israeli military attacks in Iran, including targeted attacks that Senior Iranian leaders have killed,” said Prime Minister Anwar in an official statement received in Jakarta on Friday.
He emphasized that the military attack was a serious and result, threatening and the region. According to Anwar, the aim of the attack was clear to sabotage the continuous negotiations between the United States and Iran.
“This also happened in the midst of new supervision of Israeli behavior in Gaza and increased political pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu,” Anwar explained.
Malaysia calls on Israeli partners – especially those who have influence – to exert maximum pressure to stop further aggression.
PM Anwar calls on the international community not to allow actions that have sabotaged diplomacy and endanger the global peace.
Israel carried out a series of massive attacks on a number of military goals in Iran, including various people who reportedly had connections with the country’s nuclear program.
The Israeli attack was also aimed at a number of Iranian military leaders, the Ria Novosti report quoted a number of sources.
Iran’s authority canceled all flights on Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran after the attack, the ISNA press agency reported that a spokesperson for an airport quoted.
The Israeli news portal Ynet, which quoted sources from the authorities, claimed Iranian military leaders, including general staff chefs, as well as a number of nuclear scientists were probably killed by the Israeli attack.
Two buildings where a number of Iranian military leaders lived were reportedly destroyed by the attack.
