Jakarta (Antara) – Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted a number of large cities in Indonesia on Wednesday the potential to be washed away by rain and dressed in thick clouds.
“In Java, light to moderate rain has the potential in Serang, Jakarta, Semarang and Yogyakarta. With regard to Bandung and Surabaya, it has the potential to be cloudy,” said BMKG Prakirawan Zhenny Husna in a weather forecast in Jakarta.
Regarding the Sumatra region, areas that may have been dressed in thick clouds, namely Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu and Palembang. While Tanjung Pinang, Pangkal Pinang and Bandar Lampung are predicted that they rain lightly.
“Kupang and Mataram are predicted to be cloudy. While Denpasar has the potential for light rain,” he said.

Furthermore, on the island of Kalimantan, he said that it has potential to be washed away with heavy rain shower, accompanied by lightning, namely Tanjung Selor and Banjarmasin. The Palangkaraya and Samarinda are predicted to rain light. Pontianak has the potential to be washed cloudy thick.
Further to the Sulawesi region, he continued, Palu, Makassar, Mamuju, Manado and Kendari are predicted that they will be rinsed with light to moderate rain. Gorontalo is cloudy thick.
In East Indonesia, he said, light for moderate rain in Ambon, Nabire, JayaWijaya, Jayapura and Merauke. While Ternate, Sorong and Manokwari have the potential to be cloudy.
