Jakarta (Antara) – Betawi culture, especially art, is the care of Pramono Anung and Rano Karno (Doel), new leaders in Jakarta for the next five years. Apart from the preservation of reasons, Betawi culture is also considered an attraction for Jakarta at international level.

On the one hand, there are people who claim that this is an attempt to introduce the Betawi culture to the wider community, but on the other hand not a few who regret the use of Ondel-Gondel as a tool for detecting money on the road.

Currently, the DKI DPRD is waiting for the Concept Perda with regard to the ban on the use of Ondel-Gondel for Busking discussed by cultural experts and practitioners.
Initially, the Regulation was aimed to be completed before the peak of the 498th birthday of Jakarta. Then withdraw to the momentum of the celebration of five centuries of Jakarta or two years from now on.
The rules are ranked to offer support and space, so that Ondel-Gondel artists can act well and Ondel-Gondel-Gondel is not underestimated.
