Jakarta (Antara) – Finance Minister (Minister of Finance) Sri Mulyani Indrawati asked the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) to help maintain the health of the State Budget (APBN).

“The police also have the responsibility to participate in maintaining the health of the state budget,” said Sri Mulyani while attending Polri Development Planning Conference in 2025 (Musrenbang), quoted from a written statement in Jakarta on Friday.

He said that the state budget would continue to be aimed at supporting national development priorities, such as food security, energy, education, health and poverty alleviation.

This was done through superior programs such as Free Nutritional Eating (MBG), red and white village cooperatives and human schools.

The role of the National Police, according to Sri Mulyani, is important to supervise the implementation of various priority programs, including maintaining public trust and creating legal certainty that is beneficial for investments and economic growth.

“We hope that the police will maintain legal security, safety, peace of mind so that we can keep the economy good,” said the minister.

The treasurer of the country also emphasized close cooperation between the National Police and the Ministry of Finance, especially in the action of smuggling drugs with customs and the support of the National Police in maintaining compliance with the tax.

Outside the national affairs, Sri Mulyani also reminded an increasingly complex global challenges, ranging from increasing geopolitical tension in the middle and Europe to the fading world administration based on multilateralism.

According to him, the situation and Indonesia must strengthen national resilience, both in economic, defense and security sectors.
