Jakarta (Antara) – PBNU states that people can understand the steps that the Iranian government has taken to defend themselves because of the sovereignty of the nation and is due to Israeli attacks.
“Gus Yahya emphasized that since the first day when the Israeli attack took place on Iran, PBNU immediately issued an official statement that the military aggression convicted,” said PBNU chairman Ulil Abshar Abdalla in Jakarta on Friday.
Ulil’s explanation quoted the statement by PBNU chairman Yahya Cholil Staquf Die Gus Yahya was called at holding a meeting with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia Mohammad Boroujerdi in the PBNU office, Jakarta, Friday.

The meeting that lasted about 45 minutes was not only a formal diplomatic meeting, but also became a friendly space that strengthened the inner substance and concern for the fate of humanity.
Both parties agreed to continue to open the space for communication and cooperation in the field of humanity, education and international peace.

In the meantime, the ambassador of Iran in Indonesia Mohammad Boroujerdi is grateful for the moral solidarity and spiritual support given by PBNU to the Iranian people, especially in responding to Israeli military aggression against Iran.
“I was present at the largest Islamic organization in the world, PBNU, to express its deep appreciation and gratitude. PBNU has maintained an excellent friendship relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.
He considered PBNU as a strategic partner in building peaceful civilization based on Islamic values Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin.
“In particular, I ask the chairman of PBNU to keep praying for safety and strength for our nation. In this situation, the prayer of Muslims in Indonesia is very meaningful for the Iranian people,” he said.
