Jakarta (Antara)-The Board of Directors of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) hopes that the great power of the world, such as America, China, Russia and countries in Western Europe, will not interfere with the Iran and Israeli war.
“We expect that all major actors in the world, in particular America, Russia, China, West -European countries, who are not involved in this war, will not deliver weapons to Israel or Iran,” said PBNU chairman Ulil Abshar Abdalla Friday in Jakarta.
Ulil said that the involvement of other countries in the conflict that took place was feared to make the escalation more extensive for other countries.
According to him, what should be done is how large countries become a bridge to end the conflict instead of confirming the atmosphere through their influence.

“And try to strive for diplomacy and dialogue, because there is no other way to complete this war except the dialogue, although it is indeed in the current situation, it is difficult,” said Ulil.
From the start, PBNU condemned the Israeli attack on Iran for breaking international law. PBNU also understands the reasons for Iran to fall back because it relates to sovereignty and the nation.
He said, however, PBNU urged Israel and Iran to be able to keep in and immediately end the conflict so that it was not transformed in the area around the middle.
“PBNU also expects the Indonesian government to encourage diplomacy -efforts at the global level,” said Ulil.

In accordance with Ulil, Midden -East observer Padjaran University (Unpad) Dina Sulaeman said that if strong actors interfere, this would be a threat to global safety stability.
He gave an example that if the United States attacked Iran, the Persian country could have closed the street of Hormuz. As a result, world oil and gas supply will be hindered and economic recession will cause.
“Indonesia will be hit,” said Dina.
