Jakarta (Antara) -The office of the attorney General has planned the study of the former Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of Nadiem Makarim on Monday (6/23) as a witness to the alleged corruption case in the purchase of Chromebook -Laptops in the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019-2022.
“On Monday, June 23, 2025, researchers planned and called by brother Nadiem Makarim to be investigated as a witness,” said on Friday the head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) ago Harli Siregar in the office building of the attorney General, Jakarta, Jakarta.
The inspection call was sent on Tuesday (6/17).
Harli said the investigation would be carried out at the attorney -general for the special crimes (Jampidsus) in the office of the attorney -general around 9 a.m.
Nadiem will be investigated as a former Minister of Education and Culture. Researchers will investigate the supervisory function in the Chromebook purchasing program.
“Later it will be asked what the process is like, how the knowledge that concerns this issue and of course we will see if there is a role that relates to the implementation of purchasing,” he said.

To explore these things, Harli hopes that Nadiem can be present in the investigation.
“We hope that the person involved can be present and the call from the researcher can fulfill to be investigated,” he said.
The AGO investigates the case of alleged corruption in the priority of this Chromebook.
KapusPenkum Harli Siregar said that researchers investigated the alleged evil of different parties by setting up technical teams to make technical studies with regard to the purchase of equipment help with regard to technology education in 2020.

From this experience, the technical team also recommends using specifications with the Windows operating system. At that time, however, the Ministry of Education and Culture replaced the study through a new study that is recommended to use Chrome system processing.
Regarding the budget, Harli said that the purchasing spent RP9.982 trillion.
The nearly dozens of trillions of funds consisted of RP3.582 trillion in educational units and approximately RP6.399 trillion came from special allocation funds.
