Jakarta (Antara) – The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemomdigi) said that the government regulation no. 17 of 2025 of the management of the implementation of electronic system in child protection (PP Tunas) was a digital literacy media with regard to the use of social media (social media) by children.

So it limits children to gain access to social media, or actually postpone it, “said the head of the Kemomigi Human Resources Development Agency Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto at a press conference in Jakarta on Friday.
The application of pp tunas, said Bonifasius, is not only a digital literacy instrument for children and adolescents, but also for parents. That is because parents have a great responsibility in looking at children in digital spaces, also in the use of social media.
“Digital literacy in its duties and responsibilities, in addition to performing literacy that is capable of digital, safe digital, digital culture, even digital ethics to protect children in the digital domain, in particular social media,” Bonifasius said.

Earlier, the Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkigi) Meutya Hafid, the children who surfed in CyberSpace without supervision, were just as dangerous to let the 13-year-old child drive.
Meutya said that seeing the threat of danger was so great that it should be the care of all parties, especially for parents to always be vigilant.
“His mothers are more comfortable to let their 13-year-old child ride or play gadgets at that age. Of course, both are the same dangers,” he said.
He said that almost 50 percent of internet users in Indonesia are children. For this reason it must be observed because at that age they are not considered mature enough to arrange information or existing content.
Menkomigi said, although children have intelligence, but with their age that is not wise enough without supervision when surfing in Cyberspace, the potential danger that can be caused is so high.
He mentioned various risks that focus on children in the digital world, ranging from child pornography, kidnapping to online gambling.
