Iran will sue the head of the nuclear body because he is silent about the Israeli attack

Tehran (Antara) – Iran plans to take legal steps against the director -general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi because it is considered not considering Israel’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

This was reported by the Fars News Agency on Thursday (6/19), which quoted a letter from the head of the Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, to Grossi.

“You must implement your legal obligations by immediately putting an end to the silence of the aggression of the Israeli regime, which is contrary to all international legal standards,” Eslami wrote in the letter.

He added that Iran will take the steps needed to protect the sovereignty and will take the right legal steps, “especially related to your silence.”

On June 13, Israel launched a massive air raid against Iran, accused of running a secret nuclear program. A number of high military officials and nuclear scientists were reported killed in the attack.

Some nuclear facilities, including Natanz and Fordow, were also the target of Israeli attacks.

The highest leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the attack as a crime and endangered Israel with ‘bitter and terrible fate’.

Iran responded to the Israeli attack by launching the “True Promise 3 Operation” on Friday evening, which attacked Israel’s military goals.

Iran denies his nuclear program to have military goals. Grossi on June 18 stated that IAEA had not found strong evidence that Iran developed nuclear weapons.

The American intelligence report also showed a similar conclusion that Iran did not develop nuclear weapons, CNN reported Tuesday (6/17).

Former British ambassador in Uzbekistan, who is also a human rights activist, Craig Murray, said Ria Novosti that Iran had shown “extraordinary responsibilities and patience” in recent years, despite various actions from Israel.
