Jakarta (Antara) – Indonesian President Pabowo Subianto stated that friends or establishing good relations with other countries does not mean sacrificing national interests that he has delivered on the International Economic Forum of St. Petersburg (Spief) 2025, Russia, Friday (6/20) afternoon local time.

“But friends do not mean that every country has to sacrifice its national interests in the national interests of other countries. So it will be the decision of each country to defend and protect its national interests. That is my position,” the president said.

The tension between Iran and Israel has increased since Friday (6/13) when Israel launched air strikes at a number of locations in Iran, including military and nuclear facilities.

The Israeli attack caused Tehran to launch a counterattack on a number of points in the country on the same day.

The Israeli authorities said at least 24 people were killed and hundreds of others were injured in an Iranian counterattack. In the meantime, 639 people were killed and more than 1,300 other people were injured in Iran, the impact of Israeli attacks, according to Iran’s media.
