Jakarta (Antara) – The government offers free free detection and treatment services (TB) as part of the Best Fast Results (PHTC) program in an attempt to protect and strengthen Indonesian Human Resources.

Representative of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hariqo Wibawa Saputra, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday, stated that this step was expected to break the transmission chain.

“Every year around 125,000 Indonesian citizens die from TB. That means that we lose more than 15 people every hour,” said Hariqo after a working visit to Tangerang City to check the development of the case.

Hariqo appreciated the health frameworks that the patient voluntarily accompanied until he was healed. According to him, the role of frameworks is very important and deserves a prize from the local government.

“The city of Tangerang can be an example for 514 other rain/cities,” he said.

Mayor of Tangerang Sachrudin said that the success of the city of Tangerang, which pressed on the TB case was the result of cooperation work in sectors to village level.

Innovations such as TB bridges, tuberculosis, home renovations and school education, he said, made this city a national pilot.

In 2024 there were five cases of tuberculosis per 1,000 population with 92 percent of the healing percentage and the coverage of services 100 percent. As an educational effort, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) also distributes the visual media of the TB Rugblad to help frameworks to effectively convey information.

Meanwhile, Vice -Minister of Health (Wamenkes) Dante Saksono Harbuwono emphasized the importance of cross -sector cooperation and the role of frameworks at the start of finding cases, especially in patients without symptoms.

He also appreciated the increase in findings in Tangerang and stimuli that began to be given to frameworks.

At present, Indonesia is in second place in the highest number of TB cases in the world with more than 1 million cases and 125,000 deaths per year.

Wamenkes Dante emphasized that the treatment of tuberculosis that was routinely lived routinely for a month, the patient had not made contagious, so the stigma must be removed so that the handling runs effectively.
