Jakarta (Antara) – Real Star Madrid Kylian Mbappe underwent treatment in hospitals in the United States after experiencing stomach disorders, the Spanish club said on Thursday.
“Our player, Kylian Mbappe, experienced an acute case of gastro -centeritis and was admitted to the hospital to undergo a series of tests and to get appropriate treatment,” quoted from Real’s official website.
The French striker was absent in the Real opening match at the 2025 Club World Cup against Al-Hilal on Thursday (6/19) Early morning HRS, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The match was the debut of Xabi Alonso as head coach.
Alonso said earlier that Mbappe had felt a little better after experiencing pain before the game was held in Miami.
Instead, Madrid B team player, Gonzalo Garcia, is supposed to appear as a core player. Garcia then scored the opening goal for Los Blancos when he stood opposite the Saudi Arabic team.
The second match of Madrid in Group H would take place on Monday (6/23), against a team from Mexico, Pachuca, in Charlotte.
Mbappe previously won European gold shoes in its first season with Real, with a collection of 31 goals in the Spanish competition. Real, however, closed the season without a single main trophy.
