Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), last year (February 2024-2025), an increase in women’s TPAK is higher than male Tpak.
In February 2024, the male Tpak was 84.02 percent, while in February 2025 of 84.34 percent only increased by 0.32 percent. In the meantime, the TPAK was 55.41 percent for women in February 2024, while in February 2025 it rose by 1.37 percent to 56.78 percent.
Although there has been an increase, the gap of women and Tpak for men still takes place, which is influenced by various factors, including socio-cultural standards about women who work and traditional gender roles, as well as double costs of women in productive and reproductive families.
