Ternate (Antara) – Dukono Volcano Observation Post in North Halmahera Regency, Noord -Maluku, said on Thursday (6/19) morning around 06.41 with the eruption of Mount Dukono by spraying volcanic axis to 1,550 meters from the top of the mountain.
“This eruption can be sprayed by the Ash Column that has been as high as 1,550 meters,” said PGA officer Dukono Bambang Sugiono received in his written statement received by Antara in Ternate on Thursday.

“Currently, the condition of Mount Dukono is still at level II or alarm status,” he said.
That is why he continued, the people around Mount Dukono and visitors and tourists were advised not to climb and approach the Malupang Warirang crater in a four -kilometer radius.
“Given the eruption with volcanic axis, the direction and speed of the wind follows periodically and the distribution of axle, so that the area of convenience is not fixed,” said Bambang.
He asked the people around the Dukono mountain to always offer a mask or nose and mouth cover to use when needed to prevent the threat of the dangers of volcanic axis in the airways.
