Blitar (Antara) -Vice -President Gibran Rakabuming Raka encourages people and private farms to continue to strengthen their capacity with innovation, through technology acceptance, improvement of production management and cooperation with institutions for education and research education.
“Strengthening downstream and production -efficiency is considered the key to not only make Indonesia itself -sufficiency, but also competing in the global food industry,” he said during his visit to modern laying companies managed by PT Sumber Kelapa Bekcy Farm, in the Wonodadi, Wednesday district.
Visit to the location of this egg farm is part of the working visit to Blitar that was performed for two days, namely Tuesday-Wednesday (17-18/6).

This visit was also part of the Vice -President’s work agenda in supporting Blitar as one of the greatest contributors to National Consumption Chicken Eggs, who was also relevant to the great vision of the government of President Prabowo Subianto in strengthening national food security through the modernization of the community sector.
During this visit, the Vice President immediately assessed the process of chicken cultivation, EI -tentainment, automatic feeding system and harvesting facilities.
The BioSekuriti procedure is also applied strictly to the location, including the use of antiseptic suits and boots to maintain the cleanliness and health standards of the cage.

The farm, which has been built since 2019 and started working in 2020, has a 1 -hectare building area. The empty chicken population that is maintained by around 50,000 chickens that are placed in three cages of 10 x 100 meters each.
The production of eggs of this farm reaches an average of 2.5 tonnes per cage every day, with the most important distribution to the DKI Jakarta region.
