Jakarta (Antara) – Minister of Protection of Indonesian migrant employees (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding Together with the Indonesian ambassador of the Kingdom of the Dutch Mayer phases, the potential and strategy discussed the Indonesian migrant employees of the Dutch and efforts to the European Employees to the European Employees.
The discussion was held in his second meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta, on Monday (6/17).
“So tonight I met the Indonesian ambassador in the Netherlands, Mr. Mayerfas, to discuss the potential of migrant work in the Netherlands,” said Minister Karding, as the statement of KP2Mi in Jakarta.
Karding said that there are currently around 2 million Indonesian citizens (WNI) in the Netherlands, with a lot of working potential that can actually be used.
In the midst of the situation of the Dutch community that is currently experiencing the aging society, where the age of the elderly (elderly) is more than a young or productive age, it encourages the Dutch to look for migrating employees, including from Indonesia, to meet the needs of work.
On the other hand, many benefits can be obtained by the Indonesian people when they work in the country.
For this reason, Karding Minister discusses opportunities in the Netherlands and other European countries that are immediately admitted by Indonesian migrating employees.
“We spoke with the ambassador for different sectors that we can fill, whether it is the health sector, hospitality, construction work, even plantations and high skills such as being,” he said.
“Interestingly, they experience aging (society) and a high salary in the Netherlands. The salary can be kept up to a minimum of RP40 million to RP80 million, especially in construction work, caregiver and nurses,” he added.
In the meantime, the Indonesian ambassador in the Netherlands may have underlined the importance of harmonizing the potential of Indonesia with the needs that developed in the field.
“We must try to increase the accession of our migrating employees to the Netherlands, especially for Europe. Our potential exists and there are opportunities. How do we have the potential with opportunities that we can synchronize, so that all these potentials can be realized to take advantage of the opportunities there that continue to develop,” said ambassador Mayerfas.
He added that sectors such as older nurses, clinical staff, crew and restaurants are fields that quickly develop in the Netherlands.
“The minister also gave a clear direction about who was in the Indonesian employees category, and it was important that they were registered and protected,” said ambassador Mayer phase.
