Jakarta (Antara) – A man who was previously subjected to a detention order because the obsessed behavior of Emma Raducanu reportedly showed this year trying to buy a competition card in Wimbledon.
Raducanu had cried in Dubai Tennis Championships in the middle of the game in February, after he was approached the day before by the man in a coffee shop.
At that moment the man gave a letter and asked for a photo with him. Raducanu has also seen the same man appear in a number of other events in recent weeks.

According to the BBC report, the same man then tried to get a Wimbledon ticket through a public lottery system. After the Incident in Dubai, however, the tournament committee carried out a screening of the registrants and canceled its request.
All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), the organizer of Wimbledon, in collaboration with various parties to guarantee the safety of the players. They concerned the London Metropolitan Police, National Counter Terrorism Security Office, National Protective Security Authority, as well as tennis organizations such as WTA and ATP Tour.
Aeltc also works together with Theseus Fixated Risk Management, an institution that specializes in identifying and handling people with extreme obsessions.
The Wimbledon security team even included a former metropolitan police officer and special behavioral detection officer who was assigned to observe the public that showed suspicious signs.
After the Raducanu incident in Dubai and Ribs Swiatek, who had been blocked by someone while undergoing training sessions in Miami Open last March, the issue of player protection is the most important care, especially during the WTA tour.

Three years ago, another man was also accused for five years of detention after 37 kilometers to walk to the house of the Raducanu family.
A few weeks after the incident in Dubai, Raducanu told reporters as quoted by the BBC: “In the UK it is quite difficult for me to leave the house freely. Sometimes I have pain in my neck because I bowed too often while I was wearing a hat.”
Raducanu did not compete this week because he still restored the back injury that bothered him when he lost last week in the quarterfinals of the Queen’s Club tournament of Zheng Qinwen.
He believes that he can recover on time to play open next week at Lexus Eastbourne, in preparation for Wimbledon, who started on Monday 30 June.
Raducanu, who was the champion of the US Open 2021, reached the fourth round of Wimbledon last year.
