Washington (Antara) – President Donald Trump of the United States On Monday (16/6) praised the existence of “progress” in an attempt to prevent Iran making nuclear weapons, although the country in the middle of the East repeatedly confirmed that they were not going to develop the weapon.
“I want to make sure there are no nuclear weapons in Iran, and we are on the right track to do it,” said Trump after a closed meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the sidelines of the G7 top in Canada.
“I think Iran is already at the negotiating table. They want to conclude an agreement, and once I am ready here, we will do something. But I have to finish this first. I have a lot of effort,” he went on.

Trump did not explain what he meant by “doing something”, or that he referred to the steps that would be taken on the same day or after the G7 top ended on Tuesday.
Tensions in the middle -east have rose since last Friday when Israel launched coordinated air strikes to a number of locations in Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, which were then answered to Iran with rocket attacks.
According to Israel, at least 24 people were killed and hundreds of others were injured since Friday in Iran’s answer attacks.
On the other hand, Iran claimed that at least 224 people died and that more than 1,000 others were injured in Israeli attacks.
