Banda Aceh (Antara) -The former fight of the ACEH movement (GAM) appreciated and thanked President Prabowo Subianto for bringing four islands to Aceh that had previously belonged to the province of Noord -Sumatra.
“We come from De Gam, thank you very much to the president who decided that the four islands are at Aceh,” said chairman of the Mualimin Aceh and deputy commander of the Central Gam, Darwis Jeunib, in Banda Aceh, Salasa.
Previously Prabowo Subianto relied back four islands with a regional border between Aceh and North Sumatra in the administrative area of the province of Aceh.
The four islands that were introduced in the area of Aceh Singkil Regency, Aceh were Pulau Panjang, Lipan Island, Mangkir Kecil Island and Mangkir Besar Island.
According to him, the decision that the status of the four islands returned to Aceh was considered because President Pabowo Subianto knew how the history of Aceh.
“Three times I thank you very much, Mr. President is indeed extraordinary, the president knows the history of Aceh,” said the former GAM commander of the Batee Ilik, Bireeuen Regency, Aceh region.
Moreover, he also hopes that the president will always pay attention to the peace of Aceh and complete the points in the Helsinki Mou agreement for the public interest.
“We also hope that nobody will take the limits of Aceh. We decide according to the MOU agreement of Helsinki,” said Darwis Jeunib.
