Ambon (Antara) – Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy has assessed the kitchen of the Free Nutritive Eating Program (MBG) at a number of primary schools in the city of Ambon Maluku.
“The kitchen here we see the feasibility, I think this is one example of a good kitchen, because in terms of hygienic hygiene and also from the adequacy of nutrition that is complete, there are also from carbohydrates, protein, there are fruit there are milk and one that attracts hand washing Is available, “he said in Ambon on Monday.
He said that this visit was part of the efforts of the central government to guarantee the willingness and effectiveness of the implementation of national priority programs aimed at lowering the stunting percentages and improving the food quality of school children in the region.
In an assessment at SDN 74 Ambon, Minister Pambudy said that the MBG program was not only important for complying with the nutritional needs of children, but also as a long-term investment for the development of Indonesian Human Resources.

“This program is one of the tangible forms of the presence of the state in improving the quality of the next generation, especially in areas that are confronted with the challenges of balanced food access,” he said.
“So if our children get a good food, he will learn to be a future leader,” he added.
He also stated that the involvement of local governments and participation of the community was very important in supporting the smooth run of the program. That is why Kruis -sector coordination between the center and the regions will be strengthened.
Maluku Gouverneur Hendrik Lelursa, who also accompanied the visit, said that the provincial government of Maluku had prepared for supporting infrastructure, such as public kitchens, cooking power and healthy and nutritious local food supplies.
“We fully support this program and are ready to work with all parties to ensure that Maluku children get a healthy food intake every school day,” Hendrik said.
In addition to visiting schools, the PPN/Bappenas ministers also dialogue with parents of students, teachers and program managers to listen directly to input and challenges found in the field.
The free nutritious dining program is part of the national strategic agenda within the framework of the National Medium Development Plan (RPJMN) that is aimed at human development and strengthening basic services, especially in the Education and Health sector.*
