Jakarta (Antara) -The Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI/NOC Indonesia) is responsible for preparing for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand runs smoothly after attending a series of the South East Asian Games Federation (Seagf) meeting in Bangkok on 11-13 June.
Indonesia was represented by members of the NOC Indonesia Executive Committee Harry Citizen and Zaenal Asikin in the 2nd Seagf Coordination Committee meeting and the 2nd Seagf meeting that discussed the technical readiness of the Southeast Asian Games.
“Yesterday’s meeting discussed the determination of all 2025 Sea Games Match locations held in three cities, namely Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla,” said Harry Citargaragara in a written statement received in Jakarta on Monday.
Sea Games 2025 will take place on December 9-20. A total of 50 official sports and three exhibition branches will be disputed in 76 arena in three cities.
Bangkok will be the most important location by holding 32 sports in 45 Arena, as well as three exhibition branches at three locations. Chonburi will have 17 Sports and One Exhibition branch in 21 arena, while Songkhla gets nine sports in 10 arena.

The opening ceremony is planned in Sanam Luang State Park, Bangkok on December 9, while the final ceremony will be held on December 20 in the Rajamangala National Stadium.
“We will immediately communicate this information with all the sports that will compete. Hopefully the preparations for athletes can work optimally and they can perform optimally in Thailand later,” Harry said.
In the meantime, Zaenal Asikin added that NOC Indonesia was still waiting for the issue of Chef de Mission Manual (CDM Manual), which would be planned in August and will be a technical guideline in preparing the red and white contingent.
In terms of accommodation, athletes and officials will stay at the hotel that is between 5 and 50 minutes of the location of the competition.
The exhibition sports that are shown are Flying Plates (Ultimate Frisbee), rope climbing (tug of war), as well as air sports such as paragliding and paramotor.
In the previous SEA Games edition in Cambodia 2023, Indonesia sent 599 athletes of 31 sports. As a result, the red and white contingent finished third in the last classification with 87 gold medals, 80 silver and 109 bronze medals.
