Jakarta (Antara) – Minister of Public Works (Public Works) Dody Hanggodo claimed that the gigantic Sea Wall project or gigantic sea grades will be seriously executed in the era of President Pabowo Subianto’s leadership.
“God wants it, it will be executed. However, be patient because our budget is very limited and there are other priorities. But that does not mean that we are silent, we will struggle together to solve this ROB problem,” Dody said Monday in Jakarta.
The Giant Sea Wall project is an essential infrastructure to protect the north coast of Java against tidal threats and extreme climate change. According to Dody, President Pabowo’s attention to the treatment of Robs on the north coast of Java is proven to be very great. In fact, this project was explained in the vision and mission of Prabowo before he was elected president of the period 2024-2029.
“This ROB has long been due to global circumstances such as rising world temperature, climate change and fall in the land surface. That is why, after he was inaugurated, Probowo immediately inaugurated the ministers to the development of giant sea wall from Banten to Gresik,” Dody said.
The government is currently preparing the formation of the Authority Agency for the north coast of the north coast of Java. This is an attempt to protect the north coast of Java, from Jakarta to Semarang, including Demak. The formation of the Authority Agency is important, so that the development of a gigantic sea wall in Pantura can be constantly performed.
Earlier, the coordinating Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development (GPA) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has also unveiled, the construction of a gigantic seawall or a gigantic sea wall on the north coast of Java to save the future of the community of climate change.
Ahy emphasized that the protection of coastlines is not only infrastructure matters, but rather the survival of people and the existence of the nation.
With a strong commitment of the government and careful preparation, the Giant Sea Wall project is expected to offer long -term protection for the northern coastal area of Java against the threat of Rob and the impact of climate change.
