According to the KPK, the suspects gathered around RP53.7 billion from extortion of the management of RPTKA in the 2019-2024 period.
The KPK explained that the RPTKA is a requirement that foreign employees must be met to work in Indonesia.
If the RPTKA is not issued by the Ministry of Manpower, the issue of work permits and residence permits is impeded so that foreign employees receive a fine of RP1 million a day. In this way the RPTKA applicant was forced to give money to the suspect.
