Jakarta (Antara) – Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrating Employees (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding hopes that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will be involved in the Empowerment of Indonesian migrating employees (PMI).
“I hope that Kadin will send PMI massively in the future and is not only involved in placement, but also training and empowerment of migrating employees,” said Karding at the release of PMI candidates in Jakarta on Sunday (15/6).
He considered the delivery of PMI abroad as an investment of Human Resources that would increase knowledge, expertise, experience and network (network).
During the event, Karding PMI candidates advised to maintain the good name of Indonesia.
“Don’t forget who you are and where you come from. Work with your heart and return to bring a better future to your family and nation,” he said.
Karding explained that the Ministry of P2MI was focused on the placement of 400,000 pmi every year and he hoped that Kadin could support his ministry to achieve this goal.
“We hope that Kadin supports the goal because we will change the model and the qualifications that were earlier Housekeeperbecome skilled worker“He said.
In the meantime, chairman of Kadin Anindya Bakrie declared his dedication to encourage the placement of Indonesian employees abroad professionally and competitively abroad.
“Today we not only release migrating employees. We release currant heroes. They are clear proof that the children of the nation are ready to compete on the global stage,” he said.
He added that synergy with the Ministry of P2MI was an attempt to improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia.
“We are proud to be part of this. Migrating employees will not only go home with money, but also experience, skills and entrepreneurial spirit. We want them not only to return as professionals, but also to become successful entrepreneurs,” said Anindya.
