Jakarta (Antara) – A number of housewives in Baubau, Zuidoost -Sulawesi, also received the benefits of the free Nutritious Eat Program (MBG) to be a cook at the Local Nutrition Services Fulfillment Unit (SPPG).
A mother named Astuti, who has been a cook at the Baubau City SPPG in recent months, revealed her excitement because the MBG program opened its chance to work.
“I am very happy that I can work here,” Astuti said as quoted from the official broadcast of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) that was confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.
Astuti then told a story before there was an MBG program in Baubau City, he had no permanent job. Since the MBG Kitchen has been active in the city of Baubau for the past 2 months, the youngest child of Astuti, who is currently at primary school (SD), has become one of the beneficiaries of MBG.
Astuti also admitted that there was a free food research program that illuminated his burden because he was so far only to take care of his three children.
Not only Astuti, other mothers, Yati, also revealed their gratitude because they could work to prepare food for MBG beneficiaries in the city of Baubau. Yati, a mother with two children and wife of a farmer, told her activities in the MBG kitchen from early morning to morning before noon.
“I work from dawn. Usually the morning is ready at 10 am. So this job is not too heavy,” said Yati.
On a separate occasion, the children of nutritious food recipients, namely Tasya and said, shared their impression of the MBG program.
Said, a class 3 student in SD Karya Baru Baubau, always claimed to look forward to a Friday meal session, because there is a favorite menu, namely omelet that is served in a bread, then there are citrus fruits and milk. The Menuset is a routine dish from MBG in the city of Baubau every Friday.
“I love the menu, healthy, because my dream is to be a soldier like the Lord President Pabowo,” said said.

In the meantime, another student, Tasya, claimed to wait for a menu with a side dish of chicken that is usually served every Thursday. “I really love MBG, because cooking is delicious,” said Tasya.
The implementation of the MBG program at the Karya Baru Baubau Elementary School This week (13/6) was judged directly by the deputy mayor of Baubau wa Ode Hamsinah Bolu together with the deputy for communication and information material of the presidential communication office of Isra Ramli. During the visit they ensured that the MBG program went smoothly.
“This free nutritious food program is the President’s Program (Prabowo Subianto), an investment to improve the diet of Indonesian children, and thankaguk for the city of Baubau that it has done,” said Isra Ramli.
He continued that two SPPG were active in the city of Baubau. The target is that there are 16 MBG kitchens that will be operational in the city. Of the two kitchens, one of them is in the Sorawalio district, which has spread food to 3,500 recipients in 29 schools since February 2025.
“Those who work there are mothers or communities in the neighborhood (Kitchen MBG). There are around 47 people who participated in the work, and that is great. So, their children can eat, their mothers can work,” Isra continued.
He then emphasized that mothers who worked with SPPG officers also received training, including related to cooking sop, serving food, health aspects, safety and cleanliness.
“Thank now, in Baubau, there is no oblique story, there is no poisoning, no raw material that is damaged,” he said.
