Jakarta (Antara) – The Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) appealed to Indonesian pilgrims to limit the physically draining Sunnah, given that Saudi -Arabia is currently in extremely hot weather.
PPIH Saudi Aarabia noticed an increase in health problems, especially after the peak of the pilgrimage in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Minauzna (Armuzna). Health problems are in the form of physical fatigue disorders and dehydration due to extremely warm weather, as well as congenital diseases such as respiratory disorders, diabetes and heart.
“Limit the physically exhausting Sunnah activities and replace with a light practice of great rewards such as Dhikr, recitations of the Koran, Alms and others,” said Saudi -Aarabic PPIH chairman Muchlis M Hanafi in Makkah, Sunday.
Muchlis also reminded that extreme heat disorders could have an impact on the health of pilgrims, especially those who were the elderly or have a comorbide (accompanying disease). For this reason, pilgrims are also advised to rest enough and to increase drinking water.

“We urge all pilgrims to maintain health with sufficient rest, multiply drinking water and not waiting thirsty, consume food on time and use personal protectors such as umbrellas and masks when leaving the hotel,” he said.
He also asked pilgrims who experience health problems, such as extreme fatigue, coughing/cold, reduced appetite or other serious symptoms to immediately report to the Hajj Health Team (TKH).
“Prepare the physical circumstances for the return schedule. Serious circumstances can hinder the repatriation process to the home country,” he said.
He also asked for the help of the head of the flight group (group), the head of the team, the group leader, as well as the Hajj and Umrah (KBIHU) Guidance Group to continue to play an active role in delivering health reports to all worshipers in his group.
