Jakarta (Antara) – Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomigi) Nezar Patria discussed a number of issues related to artificial intelligence (AI), such as use in the field of journalism for the development of space technology, while AI Summit London 2025 attended.
“The demand for artificial intelligence is never so clear. In the current meeting rooms, the management of AI has shifted from ‘or’ how fast ‘it can be operational. For managers looking ahead, AI is the basis of success in the future,” Nezar said in his official statement on Saturday.
The presence of Nezar in the London 2025 AI Summit Forum wants to strengthen the Indonesian network with the Global AI Innovator Community, and explore strategic cooperation options that can accelerate the development of AI ecosystems in the country.
During the visit, Nezar specifically participated in two important sessions that are relevant to the strategic agenda of the Ministry of Communication and Digital in the use and regulation of AI.

In the session that took place on Thursday (12/6), Nezar participated in a discussion about the AI revolution in the world of journalism that was considered a great potential for creating faster and personal content for the editorial room.
However, this session also emphasized sharply crucial challenges, including the risk of strengthening incorrect information and fragmentation of media landscapes.
Discussion focuses on how the editorial space can use the AI potential while maintaining journalistic integrity, ensures accuracy and navigating through the complexity of AI -based content ethics.
The speakers in this session, namely Jane Barrett, head of Reuters AI strategy, and Alessandra Galloni, editor-in-chief Reuters, shared their insights into their strategy in the use of AI for responsible news production.
Nezar then also participated in the “Space Meets AI” session in which it was discussed how space can be the next front line for the development of AI -based infrastructure.

The discussion in this discussion investigates the role of the intelligent system in changing space in an extension of the earth, ranging from the Lunar AI data center to sustainable habitat.
The panel members emphasize how this progress will again define global connectivity and future sustainability.
This session was led by Eileen M Vidrine, follow Data & Ai Officer, US Department of the Air Force, and presented Dr. Craig Brown, Director of Investment – UK Space Agency, and Shefali Sharma, Co -Founder & Director – Oxford Dynamics Limited.
According to Nezar, the presence of AI Summit London 2025 reinforces the position of Indonesia as a country that is proactive in accepting, developing and regulating AI technology ethically and responsible.
He was of the opinion that this forum was also a crucial platform to build international cooperation that would encourage AI innovation in Indonesia and all over the world, in line with attempts to realize the 2045 gold in Indonesia.
