The Emergencia Response team of India (Cert-in) has issued an alert on various vulnerabilities that endanger the personal and confidential information of WhatsApp and WhatsApp-business users in some versions of the app for Android and iOS.
Vulnerabilities have taken place in WhatsApp applications due to a configuration problem in the cache and the lack of verification of limits in the decoding of the audio. According to the Cert-in, this can enable the attackers to “carry out code randomly or gain access to sensitive information.”
The origin of vulnerability was found in the WhatsApp Block Screen tool, and It can be used to communicate via the messaging application that gives speech assignments to Apple’s voice assistant, SiriAs he said about the notification of ‘the Indian Express’.
