Pakistan supports Iran, urges the Muslim world to unite with Israel



Islamabad (Antara) – Pakistan expressed full support for Iran and evoked that Muslim countries unite against Israel.

In his speech at the National Assembly on Saturday (6/14), Pakistani Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif said that this was the time for Muslim countries to agree with the threat of Israel.

“Israel has attacked Iran, Yemen and Palestine. If Muslim countries are not united now, one by one will suffer the same fate,” he said.

He insisted on Muslim countries who still have diplomatic relations with Israel to immediately decide on that relationship and to encourage Islamic Cooperation Organization (OKI) to hold a meeting to develop a joint strategy.

ASIF claimed that Pakistan had a close relationship with Iran and Tehran would support in dealing with this situation.

“We are behind Iran and will support them on all international forums to protect their interests,” he said.

The day before, Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (Foreign Affairs) called Pakistan Ishaq Dar the Israeli attack on Iran as “Flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Iran”.

“Pakistan is in solidarity with the government and the people of Iran,” he said, he emphasizes.

DAR also held conversations by telephone with the Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and repeated the strong support of Pakistani for regional peace and stability.

On Friday (6/13) morning, Israel performed air strikes that struck the Iranian nuclear and rocket facilities.

The attack killed more than 104 Iranian inhabitants, including the commander of the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), various high commanders and nine nuclear scientists, and injured almost 380 other people.

In exchange, Iran launched a ballistic rocket that focused on various regions in Israel. Allegedly the attack killed three people and wounded more than 170 other people.

Many countries have strongly condemned Israeli military action.
