Jakarta (Antara) – The Indo Defense 2025 exhibition that was held on 11 to 14 June in Jiexpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, has printed 17 cooperation contracts in the field of defense with domestic companies and state -owned companies (BUMN).
The cooperation contract with the domestic company was carried out by the Ministry of Defense.
“So this is a form of the government for the domestic industry. The holder receives part of the domestic purchasing,” said director -general of defense potential of the Indonesian Admiral Ministry of Defense Sri Yanto during a press conference after the closing ceremony of the Indo Defense Jiexpo.
He said that the 17 cooperation contracts include the purchase of the most important weapon system (Defense Equipment) and the development for three TNI dimensions.
Not only 17 cooperation contracts, Sri Yanto said that this year’s Indo defense also gave 55 memoranda of agreement between the defense industry that were members of the exhibition.

The 55 Memorandum of Understanding is related to the collaboration of the development of defense equipment in the collaboration of strengthening human resources in defense.
According to Sri Yanto, the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOU) was a good opportunity for the Domestic Defense industry to develop its technology and to expand the market at international level.
Nevertheless, Sri Yanto did not explain the type of collaboration signed this year in the Indo defense in detail.
He also did not explain the value of 17 cooperation contracts signed by the Ministry of Defense and the Interior Industry.
The Indo Defense Activity was originally planned to be held in November 2024, but was canceled because Indonesia experienced a transitional period of the government.
In this year’s exhibition there were 1,180 companies from 55 countries that participated in exhibiting defense equipment. Some important countries that have established military cooperation with Indonesia were also present, including the United States and Türkiye.
