East Lombok (Antara) – The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Oost -Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, said that there are still many law enforcement officers who are reluctant to implement the number 12 of 2022 of the criminal actions of sexual violence (TPKS).
“The government is sufficient to make policy regulations. Stealing a chicken is processed (law), robbing the rights of children is not processed? The reason there are no witnesses. Although the reporter is sufficient?” said the head of the Department of Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) East Lombok Regency Ahmat when he was met at his office in East Lombok on Friday.
He said this responded to the problem of the marriage age of children in Regency East Lombok.

According to him, many cases of violence against children, including the child’s marriage, were resolved by mediation because of law enforcement officers who were reluctant to implement the TPKS Act.
“Legal enforcement officials have not implemented the TPKS Act. We have reported the case to the police. They are the reason that there is not enough evidence, there are not enough witnesses, so mediation is finally implemented,” Ahmat said.
According to him, the government of Regency in East Lombok is very serious in dealing with the age of children in their environment.

“Affairs with regard to policy, regulations and dedication of the government are determined (treatment child marriages),” said Ahmat.
In 2021, East Lombok, Haerul Warisin, wore all sub -district heads and village heads to make village instructions for the child’s marriage.
In addition to village instructions, he continued that there is a regulation of the East Lombok Regent (Perbup) of East Lombok number 41 of 2020 about the child’s marriage. While at the provincial level there is a regional regulation (perda) a delay in the marriage age.
