JAKARTA (Antara) – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the Indonesian embassy (KBRI) in Tehran and Indonesian representatives in the middle – East to check and anticipate further escalation, after the attack of Israël on Friday (13/6) in the morning.
“Based on the communication of the Indonesian embassy in Tehran with the Indonesian community in Iran, there is an update on the number of Indonesian citizens, namely 386 Indonesian citizens.
So far there is no information about the existence of Indonesian citizens who were the victims of Israeli attacks.
The Indonesian embassy in Tehran has also appealed to all Indonesian citizens to increase their vigilance and to maintain their personal safety and to maintain communication and to inform their situation and exist at the Indonesian embassy in Tehran.
For Indonesian citizens who experience emergency situations, it is advised to contact the Indonesian embassy in Tehran on the number +989024668889.
For Indonesian citizens who are planning to travel to Iran and Israel, it is advised to postpone the journey.
For Indonesian citizens who have flight plans through the Central East region, it is advised to anticipate the disruption of flight schedules. And if they can contact the nearest Indonesian representative hotline or through the safe travel request from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an emergency situation.
On Friday morning, Israel launched the local time military aggression against Iran. According to the Iranian embassy in Jakarta, the attack killed a number of victims, including victims of civilians.
In response, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Sugiono condemned the Israeli attack on Iran and appealed to all parties involved in order not to refrain from aggravating the situation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs hopes that there will be no worse situations as a result of the attack, while the Indonesian Foreign Ministry will continue to follow further developments in the situation.
