The General Meeting of the United Nations has ratified the resolution of a ceasefiring -Fires in Gaza



Headquarters of the UN (Antara) – The General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Thursday, has adopted a resolution that called for an unconditional and permanent in the Gaza Strip.

The resolution received support from 149 UN Member States, while 12 Member States, including the United States, refused and 19 others abstain.

The new document was ratified by the UN General Meeting “demanded an immediate, unconditional and permanent stakes -the Fires that was appreciated by all parties”.

The resolution also called on Israel to “end the blockade as quickly as possible, to open all border points and to ensure humanitarian aid to the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip”.

In the meantime, while he mentioned the rejection of the resolution, the US ambassador of the United Nations said Dorothy Camille Shea that the United Nations should concentrate on freeing the hostages.

“However, the United Nations even wasted time, energy and resources that were valuable for another biased resolution that benefited Hamas,” said Shea.

In addition to the US, other countries that reject the resolution are Hungary, Fiji and Argentina.
