In the Jiushi Art Hall, an exhibition “Splendor permeates everything: Gaudi’s sound” It calls on the public to explore the sound codes present in Gaudi’s architecture. Several “sound sculptures” created by Josep Cerdà, curator of the exhibition and professor at the University of Barcelona, articulate the sensory tour of four absorbing spaces and leads the viewer to the symbolic and cultural essence of the Universe of the Catalan Architect.
This exhibition is part of the Spanish Art season 2025, a cultural program that was inaugurated on 23 May in Shanghai and will take place until October. The initiative coincides with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic association between China and Spain and includes five main exhibitions in various places in the Jiushi Museum.
In addition to the Gaude exhibition, the Spanish art season presents a selection of contemporary artists Expectant Spaniards, bringing tradition into dialogue and Avant -garde. This approach seeks to support a wider understanding of contemporary Spanish art and strengthen the cultural ties between the two countries through a creative exchange.
The program also includes workshops, interviews with artists and educational activities focused on art professionals and the general public. These additional initiatives allow deeper and more participating experiences, opening up space for a common reflection on shared artistic heritage and possibilities of future cooperation.
