JAKARTA (Antara) – The National Police has drawn up the names of the new deputy head of the police (Wakapolri) that will replace the deputy head of police commissioner -general Ahmad Dofiri who retired this month.
“The best candidates are currently being prepared for three-star or qualified requirements to replace the deputy head of the police,” said Police Public Relations Chief Inspector General Sandroho in the National Police Headquarters Building, Jakarta, Thursday.
He made sure that the selected figure would be transferred to the public.
“Currently it is in the process. The name is compiled, later the national police chief will transfer,” he said.
Komjen Pol Ahmad Dofiri was previously appointed Wakapolri on November 13, 2024 based on the mutation in the telegram letter with the number ST/2517/XI/Kep./2024.
The appointment of the police commissioner Ahmad Dofiri of the previous Irwasum of the National Police as the deputy head of the police was to replace Agus Anriananto who now served as Minister of Immigration and Correctional (Imipas) in the Red and White Cabinet.
Komjen Pol Ahmad Dofiri has pursued a long career in the police environment. The three -Star police general started his career as the Tangerang Metro Jaya Police Resintel Kanit in 1990.
His operational experience continued to grow until it became familiar as Danton Tar in the Police Academy (AKPOL) in 1992.
Dofiri then takes on various strategic positions, such as Tangerang Police’s head office, Jatiuwung Police Chief and Metro Kebayoran Baru Police Chief.
In 1999, Dofiri entered the world of research in PPITK-PTIK and continued his career in the HR field as Jabpamentil Kassubag at the National Police headquarters in 2005.
Dofiri was then trusted to lead the Bandung police in 2007 and was immediately promoted to deputy head of Bandung, until he finally became the Yogyakarta Kapoltabes in 2009.
At the level of the head office, Dofiri also fulfilled strategic roles, including the head of Kermadagri Robangpers from the National Police and the National Police Choorspipim.
This experience brought him to become an SSDM Polri Madya policy analyst in 2012. He later became DIY’s deputy head in 2013 and Karobinkar SSDM Polri the following year.
The career of Ahmad Dofiri grew when he was appointed in 2016 as the police chief of Banten. Then he served the regional police chief in Yogyakarta and the national police chief Aslog before he finally became the West Java Police Chief in 2020.
At the national level, he served as Kabaintelkam Polri in 2021. Then Irwasum Polri finally reached his current position as a deputy head of the police in 2024 in 2024.
