He explained that Mount Semeru was still alert, so that the volcanology and the geological disaster limitation center (PVMBG) gave a number of recommendations, namely that the community was forbidden to perform any activity in the southeastern sector along the Kobokan Besuk to eight kilometers of the peak (Eruption Center).
Outside this distance, he said, the community may not carry out activities at a distance of 500 meters from the river bank (river border) along the visiting Kobokan, because it can be influenced by the expansion of hot clouds and lava flow to a distance of 13 kilometers from the peak.
The community is also advised not to be active in a radius of three kilometers from the crater/peak of Mount Semeru because it is susceptible to the dangers of light bulbs.
The community must be aware of the potential of hot clouds, lava traps and rain lava along the river/valley flow whose water flows on the peak of Mount Semeru, especially along the visiting Kobokan, Besuk Bang, twin visitors and Besuk Sat, as well as the potential of lava who are trendar that trendaries in small rivers.
