Jakarta (Antara) – The Judicial Committee (KY) has reminded that the increase in the salaries of judges, as announced by President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday, must be followed by a moral dedication to maintain integrity and independence in the prosecutor of the case.
“Ky reminded it and hoped that this welfare improvement should be followed by the moral dedication of judges to retain integrity and independence,” said KY member that a spokesperson is also Mukti Fajar Nur Dewata was confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.
Integrity and independence are deemed to be kept, given the condition of Indonesian justice today. The public, added Mukti, hoped that there would be no judges or judicial officials who commit corruption and satisfaction.
KY also appreciated government policy with regard to the increase in the salary of this court. “This shows the concern of all parties to the well -being of the judge,” said Mukti.
President Pabowo, while attending the inauguration of 1,451 judges at the first level at the Supreme Court, Jakarta, announced the increase in the salary of judges on Thursday to the highest reached 280 percent of the current salary.

“18 years of judges did not receive an increase, 3 percent did not, even 5 percent did not. Nowadays Prabowo Subianto made a decision to rise, the most junior 280 percent,” the president said in his comments.
Pabowo said that the judge’s salary increase varied, but the highest reached 280 percent for most junior jury members.
The policy was taken to improve the well -being of the judges. The president also emphasized that the policy was not a form of induction, but rather a strategic step to strengthen the integrity of the national legal system.
The head of state said that he would supervise the salary increase in court, while Pabowo asked for other judicial employees to be patient after he knew the financial possibilities of the country who could increase the salaries of MA employees.
“And all other employees are patient, I have the number of our country strong, prosperous, rich, the most important thing is that we have to protect the wealth, we have to manage as much as possible for the interests of the Indonesian people,” he said.
