Wamenhub: Covid-19 experience Learn healthy transport consciousness

We have experience, study yesterday when dealing with Covid-19. And the community already has one habitual pattern

Jakarta (Antara) – Deputy Minister of Transport (Wamenhub) Suntana assesses the experience of using Pandemi Covid -19 encourages the formation of new habits of the community that have a positive effect on the national transport sector in preventing the spread of viruses and maintaining mutual safety.

“We have experience and study yesterday in the treatment of COVID-19. And the community already has a habitual pattern,” said Suntana, met during the International Conference on Infrastructure (ICI) 2025 event in Jakarta Wednesday.

He said that this met the questions of the media crew about the efforts of international transport services in the Republic of Indonesia to participate in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

In response, Suntana previously claimed valuable lessons from Pandemi the community more aware of the importance of maintaining health, especially when using public transport services such as trains, buses and planes.

According to him, before the Indonesian people was a tendency to be ignorant of the use of masks when it was sick, it was different from people in countries such as Singapore who already had independent protection habits.

But now, according to him, this consciousness is increasing dramatically, where people voluntarily use masks when they feel unhealthy or are in a dense public space

He gave an example of his experience with family, who chose to stay at home when he felt less fit and would wear a mask if he had to leave the house for important purposes.

This condition is also seen in public transport services, such as trains, where more and more users volunteer to protect themselves and others.

“If you are forced to go out, many people have now used this (masks). Try when it is viewed on the trains, many of our brothers who use masks,” he said.

Wamenhub hopes that Indonesia will remain free from the new COVID variant and the community will retain healthy living behavior, especially when performing public transport activities.

“We pray
Indonesia is free, “said Suntana.

However, the deputy Wamenhub did not specifically reveal whether there were steps or scenarios that were the journey at the international airport drawn up by the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from different countries.

However, he believes that public consciousness in maintaining health that is formed after independence will be the most important fort of protection, so that people can protect themselves against the potential for transfer of the virus.

Earlier Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin asked the public to remain aware of the transfer of COVID-19, although the case in Indonesia is currently still being controlled by the level of positivity percentage under one percent.

“In Asean countries we see a small increase in cases. That is why friends in Indonesia must remain vigilant. If there are symptoms of coughing, take the test immediately,” Budi said in Bandung, Tuesday (10/6).

Budi explained that the number of COVID-19 cases came from the subvarian that was categorized as not killing the patient.
